While both Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Microsoft 365 Business Premium offer a comprehensive suite of productivity tools, the Business Premium license offers some enhanced security features, device management and productivity features.
Microsoft 365 Business Standard en Business Premium both offer a comprehensive suite of productivity tools:
- Office apps: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher (PC only) and Access (PC only)
- Services: Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Yammer

Microsoft 365 Business Premium adds:

Information protection; Azure Information Protection (AIP), which allows you to classify, label, and protect sensitive documents and emails. This helps to ensure that confidential information is only accessible by authorized personnel.
Device Management; with Microsoft Intune, included in Business Premium, you can manage and secure your organization’s devices, apps, and data more effectively. Intune simplifies mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) for various platforms, such as Windows, iOS, and Android.
Windows Virtual Desktop; Business Premium provides access to Windows Virtual Desktop, a comprehensive desktop and app virtualization service. This allows you to run virtual Windows desktops and apps on any device, providing greater flexibility and security for remote work.
