Customer Case
KBSapp
KBSapp is a collaboration platform for housing corporations and maintenance parties. In the platform, parties are challenged to jointly do regular work, major maintenance, mutation maintenance and repair maintenance.
The KBS stands for Quality Assurance System. In KBSapp one secures all agreements and measures the KPIs that have been set within the cooperation. Cees Spaamer is the owner and director of KBSapp. He’s been working with Universal since 2017.
“In 2017, we received a request from housing corporations and construction companies to create a specific module. The government had established a number of KPIs for the construction industry and a platform was needed to measure and secure them. In the platform, companies, which were automated to a greater or lesser degree, had to work together.
I decided to develop the module in collaboration with Universal. We were already doing business with Universal, so we had experience with their services.
Our biggest challenge is that a lot of what our customers are asking for isn’t yet available! We are pushing the limits of what is technologically possible and this makes us extra innovative with Microsoft technology.
We wanted to set up this platform in a modular way in a collaborative economy, where each partner picks up the piece they excel in. Universal took care of the technical realization: the assembly of the developed blocks (in templates) and the installation of the data centres.
Four years on and currently there are 45 active partnerships on the KBSapp. With it, we solve all kinds of housing-related issues for 600,000 homes. The platform is a success and still growing.
Universal is flexible, knowledgeable, and collaborative. I see no reason to go with another partner.“
