A Touch Of Power

Even though we registered our domain way back in 1995, our mission still rings true today; we always aim to empower our customers with complete flexibility and control.

Our slogan – “A Touch Of Power” – is exactly what we want our customers to feel. We want them to grow personally and professionally; and to keep learning and developing. We don´t want their experiences with technology to dampen this.

That’s why, here at Universal, we offer Microsoft’s Power Platform to all our users to give them complete flexibility and control.

The Power Platform? It sounds like something from a Marvel comic, doesn’t it? Well, we believe it has some pretty incredible superpowers of its own (!)

Take, for example, the visualisation of reports and data analysis for decision making, the creation of simple custom apps, and the ability to automate workflows. It achieves all this using the rich data sets drawn from business technology like Dynamics 365!

Pretty neat, huh?

Apps Made Easy

The Power Platform has three unique services – Power BI, PowerApps.and Flow. While each of these services is best-of-breed individually, their combination as the Power Platform gives our customers a significant advantage.

Imagine your boss needs an in-house mileage application for a company car in the next 8 hours? You’d probably think, ‘good luck with that(!)’ right? Not with PowerApps. You can just go right ahead and create simple applications on your own (in under eight hours).

PowerApps is a no-code (or very low code environment) where your teams can build mobile-friendly, simple business apps on the go. The apps connect to hundreds of popular third party systems and even live in other business applications, such as Microsoft 365 or Teams.

Kickstarting Your Concept

In the old days, if you had a simple application idea, you might have jotted it down on paper and tested them using macros in Excel – or got someone else to do it, right?

With PowerApps, we´re now seeing that users achieve around 80% of application development with zero coding experience.

The remaining 20% usually would then be completed by a developer to deal with security issues, UX, accessibility and implementation into the existing infrastructure of the business – but compared to the cost and time taken to build something from scratch, the savings here are significant.

Many businesses have had to deal with the pain of licensing the application as well. With the Power Platform, departments can now simply follow the licensing process within Microsoft 365 and collaborate with IT departments to move things along smoothly, all under one cloud-based roof.

Ultimately, the Power Platform performs three critical actions on data: analysis, action, and automation – all carried out using Power BI, PowerApps, and Flow; helping everyone from the CEO to frontline workers drive business ideas forward with data.
